Fakhir >> Update!
Fakhir's recently released album "Aatish" has done some mixed business. Not so bad and not so good either but considering this to be his first 100% personally sung album it seems to be a good effort. Soon after the breakup of 'Awaz' Fakhir and Haroon have both been producing music according to mutual agreement but after their breakup both have gone with their own distinct styles. Mind You, Fakhir was was only a composer in Awaz with just a couple of songs under his belt. In some numbers his voice seems to be good just like 'Awaz'. Infact if 'Awaz' were alive this album would have been their newest release in accordance with their standards.
'Aatish', includes some interesting songs. 'Dil Ruba' which has a spanish flavour and exactly sounds like Yasir's 'O'Sanam' (remember the Jazz promotion on T.V where Zara Sheikh gave her maiden T.V performance). It is not that Fakhir stole the number from Yasir. Interestingly enough, Fakhir made a deal with P&G who are the sole sponsors of this song unfortunately its launch was delayed and Yasir wrote and composed his song after Fakhir but got his number introduced earlier. Fakhir is quite right in asking Yasir about his "O'Sanam" background. Apart from this megahit number, Aatish has 'Eik Warri' and 'Sassi Punnu' which are some Fakhir Style numbers. 'Dil Na Lagay', the patriotic number is as good as it sounds on Tele which was again a hit. "Marjawan" has a nice composition with a nice beat. 'Phir Kya Huwa' and 'Jaan Pay Bhi' are slow numbers worth a listen.I have always liked Fakhir's 'Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Main' which is a light mushy number taken by Evernew Studios for their production "Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Main", included in this album. All in all, 'Aatish' seems to be a nice effort from a person who did'nt take his singing seriously. All he needs is some experience and variety in his future projects.

Fakhir >> Profile
Fakhir is an electrical engineer from U.E.T. Lahore. He has his own personal studio where he spends most of his time making music. Fakhir took music as a hobby but later changed it into his profession. After teaming up with Haroon both Haroon and Fakhir experienced real stardom. Apart from giving music and singing Fakhir has made several jingles. He believes in fusion of western and eastern music.
He is happily married and at times make some pleasing compositions for his beloved wife. After the Awaz breakup Fakhir has made some changes in his routine life. His appearence, voice quality and physical health all are important conisiderations. His daily physical training and voice caressing coupled with overall outlook are fresh new changes. Fakhir makes a must consultation before and for all his videos and onstage performances. What to wear and which color to wear are all planned and consulted. So next time if you see him wearing black do'nt think that it is the only color he has.
