Lara Croft: Tomb Raider The much-hyped, mega-franchised adaptation of the phenomenally successful video game has arrived, much to the delight of every adolescent, console-obsessed boy in the world. It has widely been decided that the casting is the best thing about this video game-cum-movie: It is almost impossible to believe that the computer-generated image of Lara Croft was not originally modelled on Angelina Jolie, the spitting image of the character. The film also stars Jolie's real-life father Jon Voight as Lara's dad! As for the plot, it's sure to be a convoluted cover-up for lots of special effects and pointless action courtesy of our gun-toting, big-breasted heroine. But just for the record, the plot presents Lara's greatest ever challenge: To recover a 'Triangle of Light' that gives its owner the power to travel through space and time. The fate of mankind rests in her hands and in order to stay one step ahead of the baddie (Iain Glen) she has to race across the world from England to Cambodia all the while battling various monsters and raiding various tombs.
