Fahim claims support of ruling party members

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians President Makhdoom Amin Fahim on Saturday said the opposition was getting positive signals for the success of no-trust motion against the National Assembly speaker.
"We are very confident about the success of no-confidence motion as members of the ruling party have also conveyed their support," he told reporters after a seminar to mark the 50th birthday of Benazir Bhutto.
When asked about how many ruling party members contacted the opposition, he said, "Just wait for the day when it comes."
"The speaker has become partial after giving the ruling on the validation of the LFO and lost the confidence of members of the National Assembly," Fahim said.
He said the speaker was heading the 11-member committee, which prepared report on the LFO and submitted it to the prime minister but after giving the ruling he has also breached the confidence of committee.
About the future dialogue process with the government on the LFO, Fahim said, "The combined opposition will take a decision in this regard soon either." He was of the view that no-confidence motion will give new direction to politics.
